Glutathione bulk powder raw material - NMN suppliers & manufacturers in China.
Glutathione is a tripeptide containing γ-amide bonds and sulfhydryl groups. It is a non-protein sulfhydryl tripeptide compound formed by condensation of glutamic acid, cysteine and glycine through peptide bonds. It is an extremely versatile active short peptide.

What does L-Glutathione do?
L-Glutathione can help maintain normal immune system functions, and has anti-oxidation and integrated detoxification effects. The sulfhydryl group on cysteine is its active group (so it is often abbreviated as G-SH), and it is easy to mix with certain drugs ( Such as paracetamol), toxins (such as free radicals, iodoacetic acid, mustard gas, lead, mercury, arsenic and other heavy metals) combined, and have an integrated detoxification effect. Glutathione has a broad-spectrum detoxification effect. It can be used not only in medicine, but also as a base material for functional foods. It is widely used in functional foods such as delaying aging, enhancing immunity, and anti-tumor.
What is the difference between reduced glutathione and oxidized glutathione?
(1) The characteristics of the peptide bond in the reduced glutathione molecule. Reduced glutathione is composed of three amino acid residues, glutamic acid, cysteine and glycine, and one of the peptide bonds is formed by glutamic acid. The dehydration between the γ-carboxyl group and the α-amino group of cysteine is formed, while the other peptide bond is formed by the dehydration between the α-carboxyl group of cysteine and the α-amino group of glycine. Reduced glutathione contains a sulfhydryl group (-SH)
(2) The structural difference between reduced glutathione and oxidized glutathione is: reduced glutathione contains 3 amino acid residues and 1 free sulfhydryl group (-SH). The important reducing agent protects the sulfhydryl group in the protein or enzyme molecule in the body from oxidation, so that the protein or enzyme is in an active state. Oxidized glutathione contains 6 amino acid residues and a disulfide bond. Oxidized glutathione can be catalyzed by glutathione reductase to regenerate GSH.
